Midway through the second half of Hart County’s 40-13 loss to Abbeville last week, the Bulldogs’ senior captain Ketitus Harper suffered a knee injury that will keep him out of this week’s game against Thomson. Harper missed the fourth quarter against Abbeville and coach Joby Scroggs said the knee would be re-examined this week.

With an off week next week, Harper could return Sept. 25 against Stephens County.

One of the bright spots of last week’s loss for the Bulldogs (1-1) was the play of sophomore linebacker Stephon Eades, who made 15 tackles and rushed for 66 yards and a touchdown. He’s scored three times this season, and Scroggs said Eades would see more time on defense this week in the absence of Harper.
