Theology professor to speak on St. Paul

Former Andersonian Marion “Marty” Soards, professor of New Testament studies at Louisville Theological Seminary and an ordained Presbyterian minister, is the guest speaker for the Anderson School of Theology for Laypersons Sunday and Monday.

The theme of the lectures is “Meeting Paul Again for the First Time.” His lectures are at 7 p.m. Sunday and Monday at Boulevard Baptist Church’s Family Life Center.

Soards also will preach at the 10:30 a.m. worship service at Boulevard Baptist, where he was a member as a teenager.

Soards has published more than 60 articles in theological dictionaries and professional journals and is the author of 22 books. The community is invited to participate in these lectures.

All of the lectures are free and all contributions are used to pay for the speakers.
