ANDERSON Anderson police arrested a 46-year-old man early Friday after a dispute over pizza led to threats, the use of a fan to assault a 25-year-old woman and an attempted stabbing.
Nathan Page of Hillcrest Circle was charged with assault and battery and assault and battery with intent to kill about 1 a.m. Friday at the house he shares with the mother of the alleged victim, according to jail records and the incident report.
The 25-year-old woman told police that she had argued with Page after refusing to share pizza with him.
Police said the television was shattered and items tossed around the house.
Page reportedly forced the 25-year-old to a bed and he “kept throwing her down and eventually got a large, fixed-blade knife out of the kitchen and tried over and over and over to stab her, but she kept rolling, trying to avoid the blows,” Officer Matthew Stipe said in his report.
