ANDERSON, SC - Melanie Christine Whitfield and Timothy Wayne Richey, Jr. were married October 4, 2008 at Orrville Baptist Church with Reverend Wendell Bannister officiating. A reception followed at the Knight's Inn. The bride is the daughter of Teresa Marlow Whitfield and John Rufus Whitfield of Anderson. She is the granddaughter Mrs. Christine Marlow and the late Theron Marlow and late Mr. and Mrs. William Whitfield, all of Anderson. The groom is the son of Peggy O. Williamson of Anderson. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Owens and the late Perry Richey of Anderson. Matron of honor was Teryi Louch, best friend of the bride. Bridesmaids were Jennifer Macomson, Amber Isbell, and Emily Hammett, all of Anderson, cousins of the bride. Best man was Jamie Richey of Anderson, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Adam Browning of Anderson, friend of the groom, Craig Scott of Starr, S.C., cousin of the groom and Darren Louch of Anderson, friend of the couple. Ushers were Jonathan Whitfield and Jason Whitfield of Anderson, brothers of the bride. Flower girl was Hannah Rose Owens of Starr, S.C., friend of the bride. Ring bearer was Braxton Louch of Anderson, godson of the bride. The bride is a graduate of Westside High School and is employed by Anderson Family Dental. The groom is a graduate of Westside High School and is employed by Hampton Furniture. After a wedding trip to the mountains, the couple will reside in Anderson.
