Bond set for Anderson teen after vampire-like threats

STORY TOOLS

Two days after an Anderson teen held a butcher knife in each hand and threatened to taste the blood of those she killed, a city court judge ordered her held under a $20,000 property bond.

Moments after Anderson Municipal Court Judge Ken Mattison allowed 18-year-old Shawnika Davis to apply for entry into an alcohol education program for underage possession of beer, she was informed of the bond for assault and battery with intent to kill. With her family and boyfriend in the court, Davis, who had a bruise under her right eye, made no comment other than brief answers to questions, telling Mattison that she moved to Anderson a year ago and has no job.

Anderson police had asked for a delay in the court hearing to give doctors time to treat Davis after an 11 p.m. Wednesday arrest at Fairview Gardens Apartments at 1101 Williamston Road.
