Deputies have made charges in seven county armed robberies. The county said there are nine incidents still unsolved, but they felt the investigations would turn up evidence to make charges in those soon.
Many of the same people are charged by the sheriff’s office are also charged by the city of Anderson Police Department and the Honea Path Police Department for armed robberies in those areas as well.

“There are nine unsolved. Those that are unsolved are very active, ongoing investigations,” she said.
Some of those charged by the Sheriff’s Office also were charged in the city of Anderson and in Honea Path.
Timpson also was charged in the city with two counts of armed robbery and one count of possession of a firearm in the commission of a violent crime and with armed robbery in Honea Path.

Harkness was charged in the city of Anderson with one count of armed robbery.
Goss is also being held for charges in Greenville County and for state weapon’s violations.
Griffin said investigators felt that all of the armed robberies were linked.
Randall Williams, spokesman for the Anderson Police Department, said although all of the suspects were documented gang members or associates of gang members, he could not say whether the robberies were gang-related.
The city has been the site of six armed robberies in the past year. Two of them at the PlezU at 300 Concord Road were the ones closed with the charges.
“We had a total of six from January to last months. We’re still looking at those, and whether or not those are linked,” Williams said.
All of the seven charged suspects were in custody as of Thursday afternoon at the Anderson County Detention Center, except LaPorshia Banks, who was released on a $10,000 personal recognizance bond.
The arrests, which started with the arrest of Harkness, Jones, Timpson and Khalil Robinson, 18, by the Honea Path Police Department in early September in connection with an armed robbery in Honea Path. Since then, a string of arrests for the armed robberies has come from Honea Path, the city of Anderson and the sheriff’s department.
“It was a collaborative effort between us, the city and Honea Path,” Griffin said.
Griffin said there may be additional suspects and additional charges.
